So I was doing some research on fluency in languages – and in particular Japanese (surprse!) and stumbled across this conversation that Miku had with Nihon Neko. Wow! I’m just so impressed by this – but at the same time massively intimidated.
It seems (fairly obviously) that you can quite easily get stuck in the kanji and grammar vortex – and completely miss out on *how* to speak to another Japanese person. Which is what I’m after!
So with that in mind I’ve signed up at italki to see if that may be a good place to get a solid foothold in pronunciation – which lets be honest, is very tricky for a westerner – and can then lay solid foundation for the future.
oh and coffee is a major part in my life – so the coffee in Tokyo really made me happy 🙂
